Cancellation & refunds

How to cancel, what happens next, and what money does.

If you came here to leave, section 01 is the whole procedure. The rest of the page is what happens afterwards. Nothing here is different from what you will be told on a call, and if something is unclear, email me and ask before you pay.

Version 3.5 Last updated 6 November 2026 $9.99 to $42 a month

01How to cancel

Email reodannathan@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and say you are cancelling. That is the whole procedure. No notice period, no exit call, no reason required, and I will not ask you for one.

Or do it yourself, without telling me first. In the member area, Settings → Membership has a Billing button. It opens Stripe's own billing page, where you can cancel, change your card, or read every invoice. Cancelling there does exactly what emailing me does — it stops the next charge and nothing else — and you do not owe me a conversation about it.

If you do not get a reply within two business days, send it again. A cancellation I never read is still a cancellation, and I will backdate it to the day you sent it.

Bought it in the iPhone app? Cancel it with Apple. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → LifeMax. Apple bills it, so an email to me, or Billing on the site, cannot stop it — the club's Settings → Membership says "Managed in the App Store". Cancelling there stops the next renewal and nothing else, just as it does here.

On a free account there is nothing to cancel. Nothing is ever charged, so nothing renews. If you want the account gone, delete it in Settings, or email me from its address and say "delete my account" — section 07.

02What happens when you cancel

Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not end the period you have already paid for.

  • Everything stays open until the last day of that period — the calls, the room (the community feed), the Sunday call, the tools, the Foundation and all 40 chapters.
  • The day after, your account becomes a free account. Your private link keeps working. The pillars and their videos beyond HealthMax 1 and FocusMax 1, the tools beyond a free account's two, the room, the Sunday call and unlimited calls close; the account, the Foundation, HealthMax 1, FocusMax 1, your XP and your record stay. I check with Stripe a few times a day, so the switch can take a few hours to show.
  • Nothing is removed, downgraded or locked before that day. You do not get a smaller version of the thing for the rest of the month.
  • Bought in the iPhone app, it is the same, except that the period is the one Apple charged for, and the switch to a free account can take up to three days to show.

Calls are unlimited while you are a LifeMax Club member, and that stops when the membership does. There is no balance to lose — you were never counting down — but a slot you have already booked past the end of your period will not happen. Book what you want inside the time you have paid for.

If you joined at $9.99 before 21 September 2026, cancelling ends that rate. You keep $9.99 for as long as the subscription you started before 21 September 2026 runs without a break. The rate belongs to the subscription, not to you, so if you cancel and rejoin later you pay the price your account's number carries (section 08). That is the one thing worth thinking about before you go — the rest of this page is designed to make leaving easy, and this part is not a trap, it is just true.

03What you keep

Nothing is clawed back. A chapter you completed stays completed, and a pillar you completed stays completed. Each keeps the date it was completed, the XP it paid stays on your record, and it stays yours — after you cancel, after you leave, permanently. XP never decays.

A completed chapter is a record of something you actually did. Withdrawing it because you stopped paying would make it a receipt rather than a record, and then it would be worth nothing.

Two things worth separating:

  • Watching was never the whole record. Access to the videos ends with the membership, though the slide PDFs you downloaded are yours, and how far you had got in each video stays on your account.
  • A completed chapter is one you watched to the end and set up the tool it asks for, or one I marked done after we covered it on a call. That, the pillars it adds up to and the XP it paid are what survive you leaving.

Your record is yours to have. Ask and I will send you what is on it — your answers, the chapters and pillars you have completed with their dates, and your XP — including after you have gone.

What you logged in the tools stays on your account. Cancelling does not delete it — section 07 says how long it stays and how to take it or erase it. The photos behind your logs were never mine: they are on your own phone, so leaving does not touch them.

04Refunds

There are no refunds. Once a payment is taken, that month is paid for. Cancelling ends renewal; it does not return the period you are in.

A period that has started is not split. Cancel on day 3 or on day 27 and you keep that month in full and are simply not charged again.

I would rather put that plainly at the top than bury it under conditions. What is on the button before you pay is the whole risk: one month at the price your account's number carries — $9.99, $14.99, $19.99 or $42 — and one email to end it. There is also a free account before you pay anything — the Foundation, the first chapters of HealthMax and FocusMax, two tools and one 30-minute call with me — and on that call I will tell you honestly if this is not for you.

There are refunds I start myself, and they are not exceptions you have to argue for:

  • I decline you after you have paid. Refunded in full, the same day.
  • I remove you for conduct. Refunded for the month, with or without a warning.
  • You step out for care. Cancelled the same day, current period refunded in full, no forms and no explanation owed.
  • I fail to deliver what section 02 of the terms says you bought.

Two further things this rule does not cover: a statutory right you hold where you live (section 05), and money taken in error, which was never mine to keep (section 06).

Bought in the iPhone app? Then Apple refunds it, not me. Apple took the payment, and only Apple can give it back. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com: Apple decides, under its own policy, and if it refunds you, LifeMax Club ends at once and the account becomes a free one. I cannot send App Store money back myself, so where one of the refunds above applies to an App Store purchase, I tell you so in writing and you ask Apple for it.

05If you are in the UK or the EU

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract for a digital service within 14 days. A policy cannot remove that right and this one does not try to.

It can be waived, and joining waives it. Section 08 of the terms says, in plain words, that your LifeMax Club membership begins the moment you have paid and that starting it immediately costs you the 14-day right to withdraw. The Stripe Checkout page the site opens carries a tick above the pay button, not pre-ticked, reading "I want LifeMax Club to open immediately, and I understand that starting it now means I give up my 14-day right to cancel." That is the trade: you get everything the moment you join, and the withdrawal window closes.

And the honest caveat. If you ticked it without understanding what you were giving up, tell me inside 14 days and I will treat yours as intact. The same goes if you joined through the earlier payment link, whose tick agreed to the terms as a whole rather than being a box worded about the 14 days. I would rather give a man his money back than argue that he agreed to something he never read.

Whichever you chose is recorded against your membership with its date, and it is shown to you in the member area at the bottom of your Profile. If it says nothing there, you waived nothing, and the 14 days are still yours.

  • If you did not waive it, email me inside 14 days and say you are withdrawing. No form and no set wording is needed.
  • You get everything back, within 14 days of reading your email.

Bought in the iPhone app? The tick above is on the website's checkout only. A purchase in the App Store is under Apple's terms, and so is your right to withdraw from it: ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Everywhere else: where the consumer law of the country you live in gives you a right that cannot be waived, that law wins over this page. I am not going to claim a blanket no-refund position that is not true everywhere, because it is not.

06A charge that should not have happened

A duplicate charge, a wrong amount, or a charge after you cancelled comes back in full, as soon as either of us spots it. That is not a refund of the service. It is money that was never owed.

Email me before you file a chargeback. If it is owed you will have it faster than a bank dispute would take. If it is not owed I will tell you plainly why, in writing, and you can still dispute it. I would rather answer you than answer your bank.

A charge in the App Store is Apple's to put right: report it at reportaproblem.apple.com. I cannot change or refund what Apple charges.

07Your account, your posts, your data

Cancelling ends your LifeMax Club membership. It does not erase you: your account carries on as a free account until you delete it.

  • Your account record stays until you delete it, or ask me to — your email, your hashed password, your nickname, your six onboarding answers, your completed chapters and pillars, your XP and trophies, your avatar and your settings. It stays so that coming back is possible and so the dates on your completed chapters remain true.
  • What you logged in the tools stays with it — the Journal, Standards and everything else your chapters had you set up — including in the tools a free account cannot open. Settings → Your data exports all of it or erases it, on a free account too, whenever you like; otherwise it goes when the account does.
  • Delete it whenever you like. Settings → Delete my account, in the app or on the site, does it at once, free account or paid; or email me and I do it, and tell you when it is done. It cannot be undone. It cancels a subscription you pay on the website first, and the rest of that month goes with the account. It cannot cancel a subscription bought in the App Store, because Apple bills that: cancel it with Apple too (section 01).
  • Your posts and comments stay under your nickname while the account stays, unless you ask me to remove them, and so do any chat messages you wrote before the chat closed on 15 October 2026. Ask and I remove them. Deleting your account takes your posts and comments with it; old chat messages go when you ask. I can delete anything in the room, and any old chat message.
  • Your real name is never shown to other members, while you are here or after you have gone. Members see the nickname only.

What is stored, why, and for how long is set out in full in the privacy notice.

08Coming back

There is nothing to re-earn and nothing to reopen: the account you had is still there, as a free account. Log in and press Upgrade, or buy LifeMax Club in the iPhone app. Your completed chapters and pillars are still there with their dates, so every pillar they opened is still open, and your XP and level are where you left them.

You come back at the price your account's number carries: it is the same account, so it is the same number — $9.99 a month for accounts 1–10, $14.99 for 11–50, $19.99 for 51–100, $42 from 101. There is no queue and no penalty for having left. If you deleted your account, or asked me to, there is nothing to come back to, and you start again with a new one, which gets a new number and the price that number carries.

09Where this stands today

LifeMax Club membership is priced by account number, from $9.99 a month, and the whole course is out. What is running is the Foundation and all 40 chapters, every tool, unlimited calls with me, the room and the Sunday call, and nothing costs a member more.

That matters here because it is what cancelling costs you. A member who leaves gives up the videos, the calls and the room for as long as he is gone. He keeps his completed chapters and their XP, the slide PDFs he downloaded and a free account, and he can upgrade again at the price his account's number carries.

The free account is open too and costs nothing: the Foundation, the first chapters of HealthMax and FocusMax, two tools (Five Honest Numbers and Focus), the daily check-in, one 30-minute call with me, my announcements, three LifeMax AI messages a day and my weekly email. Everything else is locked until you join LifeMax Club, but you can look in. It takes no card.

Version 2.6, 28 September 2026. Full membership is now priced by your account's number, not one price for everyone — $9.99 a month for accounts 1–50, $19.99 for 51–100, $24.99 from 101 — and coming back on the same account means the same number and its price (sections 02, 04, 08 and 09). The $9.99 kept by members who joined before 21 September 2026 is unchanged. The lessons no longer use a notes app on your phone: what they have you record is in the club's tools, on your account, and their photos are in an album called LifeMax on your phone (sections 03 and 07).

Version 2.7, 28 September 2026. The course is out in full: the Foundation and 40 chapters, each a short video, completed by watching it to the end and setting up the tool it asks for, or on a call. The quizzes are gone. Sections 02, 03, 07, 08 and 09 say what that changes, including what you keep when you leave.

Version 2.8, 1 October 2026. New prices on the ladder: $9.99 a month for accounts 1–10, $14.99 for 11–50, $19.99 for 51–100, and $42 from account 101 on, permanently. Coming back on the same account still means the same number and its price (sections 04 and 08).

Version 2.9, 4 October 2026. Invite a friend has ended, so there are no free months from an invite any more: the lines about cancelling inside one, and about a free month you earned, are gone (sections 02, 04 and 08). A free month already earned is kept, as the terms promised.

Version 3.0, 16 October 2026. Names only. The service is now called LifeMax and the paid membership LifeMax Club. The chat channels have closed; the community is one feed, the room (sections 02 and 07). Nothing about what you pay, your rights or what I hold changes.

Version 3.1, 16 October 2026. The iPhone app. LifeMax Club bought in the app is cancelled with Apple, and refunded by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, not by me (sections 01, 02, 04, 05 and 06). You can delete your account yourself, in the app or on the site; it cancels a website subscription, but not an App Store one (sections 01, 07 and 08). Nothing about what you pay or your rights on the website changes.

Version 3.2, 22 October 2026. The free account holds more: the first chapters of Health and Perform and two tools, Five Honest Numbers and Focus, beside the Foundation and one call; a member who cancels keeps those too (sections 02 and 09). Nothing about what you pay, your rights or refunds changes.

Version 3.3, 23 October 2026. Wording only: the weekly group call is called the Sunday call, as it is everywhere else, and a call is "30-minute" (sections 04 and 09). Nothing about what you pay, your rights or refunds changes.

Version 3.4, 5 November 2026. Names only: the pillars are now called HealthMax, MindMax, SocialMax, FocusMax, BodyMax and LooksMax (sections 02 and 09). Nothing about what you pay, your rights or refunds changes.

Version 3.5, 6 November 2026. Wording only: the price at the top reads $9.99 to $42 a month, by account number. Nothing about what you pay, your rights or refunds changes.
